In this video we’re covering the installation of the Tusk SubZero Plow Mount on the Arctic Cat ATVs. Having the correct tools and some assistance will make this job a lot easier. For this video, we’ve stood the machine on end so you can better see the installation process. You need to safely support your machine in order to gain access to the undercarriage for installation. Part 1 of this video is just to remove the stock plastic skid plate. To do that we’re using a T30 Torx wrench to go ahead and remove those bolts holding that on. After all those bolts have been removed, you should be able to pull that skid plate off of the machine. We’re going to reinstall those two front bolts to hold that front plastic bumper piece on. Part 2 of this video is the installation of
the plow mount. Some machines are going to use the foot rest mounting holes to support the rear end of the plow mount. Other machines will use the provided U-clamps or the frame rails to support the rear end of the plow mount. Hold the plow mount up in position to determine which method is best for your machine. For this machine we’re going to be using the footrest mounting holes. We’ll go ahead and remove those stock bolts to gain access to those holes. After we remove all four of those, we are ready to install the plow mount. So go ahead and slide that into place. You’ll find it’s kind of a tight fit. It may require a couple of light taps from a hammer to get it to seat correctly into place. Since our machine is using the footrest mounts, we’re going to go ahead and install the provided 10mm x 20mm bolts. We’ll move up and install the front clamps with the provided hardware. Once all that hardware is in place we can start to tighten everything down. Make sure you tighten all of this hardware evenly, and then you’re done with the install.
