Call for evidence | Sexual Violence in Conflict Committee | House of Lords

Sexual violence in conflict against women,
children and men is a horrible crime and in Britain we’ve been very concerned about
it, so we’ve set up a committee in the House of Lords to have a look, we’ve got to report
by next Easter, so time is short, and the initial start point was the conference of
last year, a really big conference which pinpointed this dreadful, dreadful crime, so the committee
is following that up, we’re having a look at what’s happened since then and we might
be going to suggest some things that we might be going to do from Britain in the future. We’re looking for evidence, and we’d like
evidence online if at all possible from as many people as possible, as many institutions,
as many of those who know anything about sexual violence in conflict and post-conflict situations
at all. So please, give us your evidence, we really need it, but we’re in a hurry,
we need it by the 18 September this very year, so don’t let your summer holidays last too
long, we need your knowledge.
