Prairie Dog Den Invaded By Fleas | Prairie Dog Manor

NARRATOR: Back in the flatlands,
June is afraid of what lurks down below. [suspenseful music] A bloodthirsty creature
has invaded her burrow– one that terrifies
her whole family. But even worse than
that terror is the itch. [playful western swing music] Fleas. What a pain in the tail. [playful western swing music] Fleas are a fact of life
wherever prairie dogs live. As families grow and more
dogs inhabit a burrow system, the chances of getting fleas
into your home are pretty good. A minor case of these
pests is something most dogs can live with– some itching and
scratching but manageable. [playful western swing music] But if the fleas get worse,
it might be time to move. But making a new home is
easier said than done, especially with a large brood. [playful western swing music] So for now, June plans
on waiting it out, because, as everyone
knows, ignoring problems is the best way to
make them go away. [playful western swing music]
