Hopefully the 30mm in here somewhere, and of course here is all your instructional pamphlet, and your Sigma warranty, of course, this is Sigma U.S.A., so this is only good if its purchase in the U.S. and from an authorized dealer like Digital Goja, now remember with Sigma products you have to go online and register it to bring it up to the full four-year manufacturer warranty. Again very well packaged to make sure you get the lens in one piece. Nice and compact, this is beautiful! Perfect size for mirrorless and you have the lens and the proprietary lens hood, look at that it just snaps in place. And of course it could be reversed if you just want to carry it along and put in your favorite bag. So let’s take a closer look and see what the features are of the Sigma 30mm f/1.4 for Sony E series. Stay tuned. Alright, so let’s take a closer look at the Sigma DC DN which means, it’s for crop sensor and this one is meant for the mirrorless design. It’s a 30 mm f/1.4, so that means, if you are putting it on a full-frame it would be the equivalent of 45 mm perspective is the way would be. It’s a f/1.4 constant aperture, but you can stop down to f/16 for more depth of field. You have 3 aspherical elements, 1 double-sided aspherical element and all that means that it is going to control aberration and distortion, so you can get nice sharp beautiful high-resolution images, whether you’re going to be doing video or stills, and it has the super multi-layer coating. Now notice it has a very popular diameter filter thread size 52mm. So it means you can get some incredible UV, CPL and ND filters for it, and of course, has the stepping AF motor which is great for both video and stills, but you have full-time manual focus for overwrite capability. Very well constructed, of course, is that TSC construction that we’re used to from Sigma, with a nice brass bayonet mount to get a nice firm connection and a proper electrical connection. Of course, you have the proprietary lens hood, which again is also completely reversible when not in use and it mounts very easily onto a Sony very popular camera the A6300. Notice you just line up the white dot to the white dot and twist, there you go, and once I turn it on I have the same control as it was an original Sony lens so focuses right on the money and it takes the picture pretty much instantly, and you have that beautiful boca capability with the f/1.4 aperture and again the nine blade rounded diaphragm system. So again if you are in the market for a nice fast prime for your Sony crop sensor camera and you don’t want to break the bank, take a much closer look at the Sigma 30mm f/1.4 DC DN contemporary lens for Sony E-mount.
